Little over a month has passed since Tipperary blew Kilkenny out of the water to capture the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship title, but it’s very much back to the drawing board for the chasing pack.
This evening, the draw for next year’s Championship took place on RTÉ, and there are more than a few fascinating match-ups.

The Munster Championship, as always, has thrown up some heavyweight clashes, with Tipperary still the ones to catch. However, Waterford and Clare will feel that they are more than capable of closing the gap on the Premier, while Limerick and Cork will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2016.
In Leinster, Kilkenny get an automatic bye to the semi-final by virtue of capturing the Bob O’Keeffe Cup last July. Galway, Dublin, and a Davy Fitzgerald-inspired Wexford will head the chasing pack.

In Munster, Tipperary and Cork clash in the first round, which could possibly be the first game in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. The winner plays Waterford in the semi-final.
Meanwhile, Clare play Limerick on the other side.
Cork vs Tipperary.

Limerick vs Clare.
