Diarmuid Connolly has returned to train with the other members of the Dublin Senior Footballing panel – according to manager, Jim Gavin.
Dublin’s push for five All Ireland titles in a row could well have just received a massive boost after Gavin revealed that Connolly has joined up with the squad ahead of their Super 8s showdown against Roscommon on Saturday.
Speaking to the media in an interview that was later released via the official Twitter account of Dublin GAA, Gavin explained how his side have been bolstered by the addition of the 32-year-old.

Connolly had, of course, been plying his trade across the pond playing with Donegal Boston but after a period of uncertainty about his level of involvement with the champions, it has now been confirmed that he is making a return.
Last seen in Dublin colours in February as a sub against Mayo, Connolly has enjoyed five All-Ireland title successes with his county and those who are following the Dubs in their drive for five will no doubt be delighted to hear this latest development.
