ICYMI: David Clifford Scored Probably Goal Of The Year In Yesterday’s Minor Final

Kerry David Clifford

If you missed David Clifford’s amazing solo goal yesterday, watch it here. If you have already seen it, watch it again anyway. It was a score worthy of winning any final.

Before Dublin and Mayo played out one of the most tense All-Ireland finals in recent memory, Kerry captured the minor title with a deserved win over Galway.

The Kingdom gave a timely reminder that although they were not involved in the senior game, they will be back in the big-time soon enough.

David Clifford was the star of the show for Kerry this summer, leading the side throughout the championship.

The Kingdom completed a three-in-a-row yesterday at minor, and they are definitely the coming force of the big ball, not that they are exactly in the doldrums at present.

If this goal is anything to go by, Eamonn Fitzmaurice and Co. can look forward to having one of the country’s brightest talents within their ranks in the coming years.

What a strike!

It was a goal that required, pace, physicality, skill, nerve, and accuracy. Clifford is clearly one of the most promising young footballers in the country, and the confidence to take such a chance on and execute it to perfection will only stand to him in the future.
