Cork To Face Tipperary In Munster Hurling Championship

The draw for the 2016 provincial Hurling Championships was made on Thursday night, throwing up some fascinating encounters.

Munster giants Tipperary and Cork will meet at the quarter-final stage this year whilst Waterford will face Clare in the semi-finals, where Limerick will be waiting for the winners of Cork and Tipp.

The Leinster Championship draw consists of a qualifier group of Offaly, Westmeath, Carlow and Kerry. Dublin will face Wexford in the only set quarter-final whilst the runners up from the qualifying group will play Laois. The winners from the qualifying group will be tasked with taking on All-Ireland finalists Galway, making up the three Leinster quarter-finals.

All-Ireland champions Kilkenny are the only Leinster Championship side already guaranteed a semi-final place.
