Cork avenged last year’s defeat to Kilkenny in dramatic circumstance with a last-gasp victory in this year’s All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship final.

The Rebels tasted defeat at this stage last year and to the same opposition, but they ensured that there was to be no repeat of that – or even a replay – with a point in the final seconds from Julia White to make it 0-10 to 0-9.

Cork were 0-5 to 0-2 up at half time and were good value for their lead, but a rousing Kilkenny comeback in the second half threatened to hand the cup to the Cats for the second year running.

However, Cork delivered when they needed to and, for the 27th time in their history, they are now the All-Ireland champions with the O’Duffy cup heading back to Leeside.
