Twitter Reacts As Cork Edge Out Tipperary In A Nail-Biter At Pairc Ui Rinn

Cork and Tipperary played out a belter at Pairc Ui Rinn on Sunday afternoon in the National Hurling League.

Tipp played out a high-scoring thriller against Kilkenny last weekend and looked on several occasions like repeating the trick on Leeside, especially after scoring a late goal to bring the sides level at 0-24 to 3-15 with only stoppage time remaining.

The Rebels, however, were not to be denied and although the score would be level once more after a back-and-forth in time added on, Patrick Horgan put over the winning point of the afternoon with the last puck of the game to give Kieran Kingston’s men the win against the All-Ireland champions by 0-26 to 3-16. (Indeed, Horgan’s involvement from the start only came late on as he replaced Shane Kingston in the fifteen.)
