Joy For Cork Supporters As Rebels Win Munster Title

Cork faced Clare in a packed Semple Stadium in the Munster final with the Rebels coming out on top to secure a spot in the All-Ireland semi-final with a 1-25 to 1-20 win.

An Alan Cadogan goal in the first half set up Cork who were the better side for long stages. However, Clare refused to give up and a Conor McGrath goal got them back in it.

Cadogan was sublime throughout the game, and his efforts did not go without notice.

With it looking like a comfortable win for the Rebels, McGrath’s goal brought life into the game, played in front of over 45,000 people.

However, the comeback effort fell short as Kieran Kingston’s side saw out the victory.

Cork now join Galway in the All-Ireland semi-finals. For Clare, it is not the end of them as are in the quarter-final against either Tipperary or Waterford.
