Con O’Callaghan Puts On Fantastic Hurling Display In Dublin Senior Championship

Con O’Callaghan made a scorching return to club hurling for Cuala in their Dublin senior hurling championship clash against Kilmacud Crokes today.

Just over one week after his All-Ireland-winning efforts in Dublin football’s drive for five, the Cuala star re-entered the fray in his side’s clash with Kilmacud Crokes.

Scoring two goals within ten minutes of taking to the pitch, O’Callaghan proved once again that he is no one-trick-pony, proving his exceptional talents as a hurler and overall athlete while leaving with a personal tally of 2-3 when all was said and done.

The 23-year-old played an integral role as his county’s footballers drove their way through all comers before eventually securing their fifth consecutive All-Ireland championship, with O’Callaghan being pegged as the betting favourite for this year’s Footballer Of The Year crown.

Con also found himself in the headlines in the wake of Dublin’s triumph after auctioning off his jersey in support of a Cuala teammate of his who had suffered a traumatic brain injury – joining a still-active GoFundMe page that had cleared €60,000 at the time of writing.

The man can simply do no wrong!
