Colm Cooper Becomes The Sunday Game’s Newest Pundit

After a lengthy and illustrious inter-county career, Kerry legend Colm Cooper will transfer his energies from playing the game to analysing it for RTÉ’s The Sunday Game.

This is a natural next step in the career of a man who knows the game inside out following 17 years competing at the top for the Kingdom.

According to RTÉ, the 33-year-old will be joined by other greats of the modern era such as hurling legend Henry Shefflin, who also relatively recently called time on his inter-county career with Kilkenny.

Pat Spillane, Dessie Dolan, Liam Sheedy, Tomás Ó Sé, Anthony Daly, Ciaran Whelan, Eddie Brennan and a host of other panellists form RTÉ’s lineup as we edge closer to championship season.

Cooper will begin his new role following an appearance on RTÉ Radio 1’s Sunday Sport this coming weekend after joining the aforementioned Shefflin on the Ray D’Arcy Show this Saturday night as a ‘special guest’.
