Bryan Sheehan is one of the most deadly free-takers in Ireland at present. The Cahirciveen man has been a rock for Kerry since he made his debut for the Kingdom 11 years ago, and has made 53 championship appearances since then, scoring 6-137.
At 30, he is one of the senior players on the Kerry squad this year, and has been prominent in their run to next week’s League final where they will face Dublin, intent on gaining revenge for last year’s All-Ireland final loss.
When Kerry met Donegal in the League this year, they had too much for the Ulster side, beating them 1-13 to 1-8 at Austin Stack Park in Tralee. This was in no small part thanks to Bryan Sheehan, who kicked eight points over the bar.
Among these scores was an outrageous point from a free, where he used the strong wind to swerve the ball over the bar.
What a score! The wind does take it in, but the fact that he judged it to perfection makes it all the more impressive.
The skill and accuracy to pull off this shot is truly amazing.
