Breaking: Stephen Rochford Steps Down As Mayo Manager

Mayo manager Stephen Rochford has officially stepped down from his position.

The man who has been at the helm of the Mayo football team since 2015 has now confirmed that he will be leaving his position.

A statement (via John Fogarty) can be read below:

The two-time All-Ireland finalist saw his side lose out on both occasions to Dublin in 2016 and 2017 –  in a pair of campaigns that really saw them build some solid momentum.

However, Rochford has cited a lack of support from the county board executive as a reason for his decision on the matter and will leave his position as a result.
