It was a bumper weekend of GAA action on Saturday, with three Allianz National Hurling League games down for decision, as well as the Sigerson Cup final, All-Ireland Club Football Championship semi-final and more.
The big tie of the day was in Thurles, as Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford side attempted to maintain their 100% start to 2018 against Tipperary, but a late fightback wasn’t enough to salvage anything.
Meanwhile, Limerick hosted Dublin in the Gaelic Grounds, and easily saw off their visitors. Laois picked up their first points of the League beating Antrim at home.
UCD beat NUIG by a single point to claim the Sigerson Cup, despite the best efforts of Kieran Molloy who helped his club Corofin to the All-Ireland final earlier in the day.
