Everything You Need To Know About Monday’s Qualifier Draw

On Monday morning, the qualifier draw will take place for the second round of the All Ireland Senior Football Championship.

There will be two bowls, one consisting of teams who won their first round qualifying matches this weekend and the other including those who lost their provincial semi-finals.

Below you will find everything you need to know about tomorrow’s draw.


The qualifier draw will take place live on RTÉ Radio 1 on Monday morning [Morning Ireland].


There are 16 teams in the draw divided into two bowls of eight.

Round 1 Qualifier Winners: Offaly, Leitrim, Derry, Antrim, Monaghan, Down, Westmeath, Longford.

Provincial Semi-Final Losers: Tyrone, Laois, Kildare, Armagh, Limerick, Clare, Mayo, Sligo.

Teams will be drawn against one another from these two bowls.


A separate draw will be made for home advantage except in the following circumstances:

A Division 3 or 4 team from the current year’s Allianz league drawn against a Division 1 or 2 team will have home advantage

The fixtures will be announced on Tuesday.
