Mayo manager James Horan has named Cillian O’Connor to start for the county’s All Ireland Senior Football Championship qualifier clash with Galway on Saturday evening.
The round four qualifier pits these two rival counties against one another and both sides will be desperate for a win so to lengthen their involvement throughout the summer and secure a spot in the Super 8s.
O’Connor made his return from injury in last week’s narrow win over Armagh in Castlebar where he scored 0-2 from the bench.
The Castlebar man underwent surgery on his knee at Christmas and has been out of action since.
In other team news, Lee Keegan misses out as expected due to the ankle injury he picked up in the win over the Orchard County while Aidan O’Shea, despite reports of him picking up a knock, has also been named to start.
In total, there are four changes with Michael Plunkett, Stephen Coen, Kevin McLoughlin and O’Connor replacing Lee Keegan, Mikey Murray, Conor Loftus and Andy Moran.
