The Forecast: Your Guide To A Bumper Weekend Of Excellent Sport

There is no shortage of high-quality sporting action taking place this weekend. 

After what was a painful two-day hiatus from World Cup action, the quarter-finals take place over the next two days while the Dubai Duty-Free Irish Open and the All-Ireland Football and Hurling Championship take centre stage. Here’s what you should tune into over the coming days, in association with the RNLI.

What?

World Cup Quarter Finals: Uruguay v France and Brazil v Belgium

When?

Uruguay v France (KO 3 pm) Brazil v Belgium (KO 7 pm)

Where?

Uruguay v France takes place at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in Nizhny Novgorod while Brazil v Belgium is taking place at the Kazan Arena in Kazan.

Where to watch?

Both matches will be broadcast live on RTÉ2.

Why are these games so important? 

It’s the World Cup Quarter-Finals…

The prelims will be available for free on UFC Fight Pass while the rest of the show will be on PPV via BT Sport.

Why is this so important? 

A super-fight between the light-heavyweight and heavyweight champions of the world in itself would be enough, but even with that aside, the card as a whole is packed to the brim with elite-level talent and potentially riveting matchups.
