Gaelic Football Team News – Four Teams Named For The Weekend.

It is predominantly replays in the Senior Football Championship this weekend with two Ulster semi-finals and the enforced Laois-Armagh all being replayed.

There is also qualifier action with Sligo taking on Leitrim in an all Connacht affair and the first piece of provincial silverware will be handed out in Fitzgeralds Stadium, Killarney with Kerry hoping to stop Tipperary pulling of a second upset in a row.

Tyrone, Cavan, Armagh and Laois have all named their starting fifteen’s ahead of the games.

Tyrone have recalled two well-known players in Niall Morgan and Darren McCurry. Morgan returns in goal, while McCurry comes into the forwards at the expense of Richie Donnelly.

Tyrone – N. Morgan; A McCrory, R McNamee, C McCarron; T McCann, N Sludden, P Harte; C Cavanagh, M Donnelly; C McShane, M Bradley, D McCurry; C McAliskey, S Cavanagh, R O’Neill.

Darren McCurry will be hoping to celebrate scores, like he is doing so below, in Sunday's replay with Cavan.

Cavan have named an unchanged side. Terry Hyland has put faith in the same side that started the drawn game with Tyrone. David Givney and Conoer Moynagh will be hoping to raise green flags again.

Cavan – R Galligan; K Brady, R Dunne, J McEnroe; F Flanagan, C Moynagh, N Murray; T Corr, K Clarke; D McVeety, G McKiernan, M Reilly; D Givney, C Mackey, S Johnston.

Laois and Armagh are the other sides to have named their teams ahead of their controversial replay. Laois fielded seven substitutes instead of the allocated six. So despite winning the game, 1-10 to 0-10, a replay was ordered following the rule break.

Armagh have made two changes in their half-back line. Ciaran McKeever and Mark Shields both make way and will be replaced by Stephen Sheridan and Sean Connell.

Laois make one change in personnel and one positional switch. Gareth Dillon comes into the team at left half-back with Damien O’Connor moving back to left corner-back while Gearoid Hanrahan is out of the starting team.
