The Exhilarated Reaction To Cork Vs Waterford Thriller

Tensions were high on the field as Waterford defeated Cork. Three red cards may overhype things slightly, but it was a tense game between Munster rivals with a lot at stake. The game turned on 51 minutes with Cork’s loss of Damien Cahalane to a second yellow card. Gaps opened in the Cork defence and the Déise capitalised impeccably.

Hurling fans all around sat back and watched an intriguing game unfold. Waterford are back in their first All-Ireland final since 2008, while Cork’s fairytale season came to a disappointing end. But the excitement levels on the Sunny South East will peak over the next three weeks.

Waterford will face Galway on September 3rd. Waterford have never lost to Galway in the hurling championship. Waterford people love their county and it is sure to be a cracking build up to a novel All-Ireland final pairing.
