It’s been a terrible weekend for all involved in Cork GAA and Donal Óg Cusack has unleashed a barrage of abuse (a lot of it warranted) on those behind the scenes in the Rebel County.
Speaking on RTÉ’s The Sunday Game, the former Cork goalkeeper didn’t hold back, labelling Frank Murphy “The Don of Cork GAA” and saying that he is surrounded by “stooges and yes men”.
Passionately vocal, he said those in power are “asleep in Rome while Rome burns”.
“They know as much about sport as I do about the sleeping habits of the ayatollah.”
