We’ve all been there. Knocking about the local GAA club in the evening, hoping to see a match, but then it happens.
The lads are short players, and the game might not go ahead. There’s only one thing for it; you’ve got to answer the call.
This was the scenario in Liatroim, Co.Down recently when the local GAA side played An Riocht in what we’re being told was a “premier reserve championship” game. In a week that has seen GAA fans almost come to blows with each other over contrasting opinions on the ‘He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named’ incident in Croker last Sunday, it’s great to see that community values still exist.
We’re told the man in the image knocked down 12 points on that particular evening.
Oh wait, that could have been pints. He may have said twelve pints. Anyways, here’s to the GAA. The glue that holds our communities together.
Thanks to Ryan Clarke for sending the snap our way.
