What a time to be involved in women’s sports in Ireland. The 20×20 movement has given female athletes all over Ireland a bigger platform than ever before and it is paying off. Fans all over the country are getting to hear more and more about the incredible female talent this country possesses.
One sport that continues to set record after record is Ladies football and its All-Ireland final attendances.
Attendance had doubled between 2013 and last year with the decider between Dublin and Cork breaking 50,000 supporters in Croke Park.
The LGFA have gone one further yet again in 2019 though as 56,114 spectators are currently at HQ watching on as Dublin ladies attempt to emulate their male counterparts triumph yesterday by securing the three-in-a-row.
