Much-Deserved Provincial Final A Legitimate Goal For Clare

After drawing Kerry at the semi-final stage in five of the last seven seasons, Colm Collins must surely believe that 2020 will finally be the year his efforts with Clare are rewarded with a provincial final berth.

The Munster SFC draw was made last night with heavy-hitters Cork and Kerry set to meet in the semi-final. Clare won’t have it all their own way, however.

The Bannerside must navigate their way through Tipperary before a potential showdown with either Waterford or Limerick in a Munster semi-final.

Out west, Mayo and Galway have fallen on the opposite sides of the Connacht SFC draw while Roscommon kick off their defence of the Nestor Cup away to London.

Galway face the trip stateside to face New York in the opening game of the season while Mayo must face Leitrim to qualify for a potential semi-final showdown with either the Rossies or the Exiles.

Sligo meanwhile, await the winners of Galway and New York in the other semi-final.

In the east, Dublin kick off their bid for six-in-a-row with a quarter-final meeting with Westmeath in the Leinster SFC.

As of yet, the Ulster SFC draw has not been made.
