PA All-Star Team: Vote For Football Goalkeeper Of The Year

Ahead of the All-Star awards on November 2nd, Pundit Arena are asking you to vote for who you think will make the lineup of both the hurling and football teams. In the first of the football series, we are asking you to vote for your Goalkeeper of the Year.

Nominee: Rory Beggan

County: Monaghan

Credentials: Rory Beggan had a fantastic season for Monaghan and was a key part of the reason why they got as far as the All Ireland semi-final. His kick-outs have been phenomenal for the most part while he also chipped in with a number of scores from frees. One of the best readers of the game.

Monaghan goalkeeper, Rory Beggan

Nominee: Stephen Cluxton

County: Dublin

Credentials: Stephen Cluxton has barely dropped his high standards since Dublin began their dominance in 2011. His clinical decision making is a huge asset in moments of trouble while his kick outs were almost perfect once again this season. The captain is a great leader of the team.

Nominee: Graham Brody

County: Laois

Credentials: Graham Brody was Laois’ best player in many of their games, especially against Monaghan where he produced so many moments of brilliance. He made three superb one-on-one saves in the first half before adding two more in the second. One of his best season’s yet.
