Leinster Final Replay Between Kilkenny And Galway Set For Munster Venue

And it’s all down to Michael Bublé…

It has been confirmed that the Leinster final replay between Kilkenny and Galway will be played in Thurles next Sunday as Croke Park is unavailable due to a Michael Buble concert on Saturday evening.

The side’s played out a 0-18 draw in this afternoon’s final in what was an underwhelming encounter. TJ Reid was the hero for Kilkenny as he knocked over his tenth point of the match in the dying seconds to bring the game to a replay, as there is no extra time allowed in provincial finals.

The winner of Sunday’s game will progress to the All Ireland semi-final while the losers will face the winners of Limerick and Carlow after the latter were crowned the inaugural winners of the Joe McDonagh Cup during the first game in Croke Park this afternoon.

Further details of the replay will be announced by the Leinster Council on Monday.
