Eir Sport To Broadcast 15 National League Games In 2020

Eir Sport have announced their coverage for the 202o Allianz Hurling and Football Leagues with 15 games being broadcast across seven weeks.

In total, 16 counties will feature in the live coverage with ten football games and five hurling clashes.

The action kicks off on Saturday 25th January with eir sport broadcasting a triple-header across its channels. The first game gets underway at 5.15pm, with All-Ireland Senior Hurling champions Tipperary taking on League champions Limerick at Sample Stadium.

This is followed by two football games at 7.15pm as defending Allianz Football League champions Mayo travel to Ballybofey to take on Ulster champions Donegal. At the same time, All-Ireland five-in-a-row champions Dublin will play their first League game since the departure of Jim Gavin, as they welcome Kerry to Croke Park in a repeat of their All-Ireland Final encounter last September.

The second weekend of action sees another renewal of rivalries as eir Sport broadcasts the action from MacHale Park and Páirc Uí Chaoimh. In the big ball, James Horan’s Mayo footballers welcome Dublin to the west for the latest in this intriguing rivalry. In hurling, Cork, under a new management team headed by Kieran Kingston, will be fired-up to get one over their age-old rivals and All Ireland champions Tipperary.

The Hurling League final is set for March 22 while the Football League final will take place a week later on March 29.
