Cork Name Strong Side For Super 8s Clash With Dublin

Fresh from their win over Laois, Cork manager Ronan McCarthy has named his side for their Super 8s clash with Dublin in Croke Park on Sunday.

The Rebels eased past Laois in the final round of the qualifiers with Castlehaven’s Brian Hurley registering 2-4 of their 4-20 total.

It was also a productive outing for his clubmate Mark Collins who finished with 1-8 to his name and the clinical duo are once again named in the full-forward line alongside Luke Connolly.

There are positional changes in defence with Thomas Clancy named at full-back while James Loughrey will wear the number 2 jersey with Kevin Flahive posted as the other corner-back.

Meanwhile, Liam O’ Donovan, Tomas Clancy, and Mattie Taylor make up the half-back line while Ian Maguire and Killian O’Hanlon continue their partnership in midfield.

Kevin O’ Driscoll, Sean White and Ruairi Deane complete the lineup in the half-forward line.

The clash with Dublin marks Cork’s first outing in the Super 8s set-up while Roscommon and Tyrone face-off in Group 2’s other game.
