All You Need To Know Ahead Of Limerick’s Triumphant Homecoming

Liam McCarthy will make his first appearance in the Gaelic Grounds this evening as the All Ireland champions, Limerick are welcomed back to their home ground after their historic win yesterday.

A huge crowd is expected to turn up to welcome home their heroes from Dublin with the free tickets for the gathering being snapped up within two hours on eventbrite.ie. However, there is still a waiting list in case of cancellations and those wishing to attend are advised to register on the site.

Gates will open at 4pm with no admission later than 6.30pm. There will be plenty of entertainment with the Beoga, Blizzards and DJ Mark McCabe set to perform.

Marty Morrissey will welcome John Kiely and his Limerick team who captured the Liam McCarthy Cup for the first time in 45 years yesterday.

Meanwhile a civic reception will be held in Ballinasloe for the Galway All Ireland winning minor side as well as their senior counterparts followed by a homecoming in Pearse Stadium at 6.30pm.
