Reports from Galway suggest that All-Star centre-back, Gearoid McInerney will be fit to feature in the All Ireland final against Limerick on Sunday.
The 27-year old missed Galway’s semi-final win over Clare after picking up a calf injury in the drawn game the week before.
However the Irish Independent are reporting that McInerney has responded well to treatment and is winning the race to be fit for Sunday’s final and manager, Micheál Donoghue will be hoping to utilise the Oranmore-Maree clubman from the beginning against Limerick.
The sides haven’t met since Limerick came from eight points down to beat the Tribesmen in the final round of the National League in March, securing their promotion to Division 1A.
The Treaty men are reporting a clean bill of health as they look forward to their first All Ireland final in eleven years.
