Galway Make One Change As Starting XVs Named For Hurling Final

The managers of the county’s contesting the All-Ireland Hurling final on Sunday have named their starting teams.

Current champions Galway have made one change from their semi-final replay win over Clare.

Micheál Donoghue has opted to start centre back Gearoid McInerney, who missed that game due to an injury sustained in the previous drawn encounter.

Otherwise, it’s as you were for the Tribesmen, with Niall Burke dropping to the bench for the encounter at Croke Park.

Meanwhile, Limerick have named an unchanged side from their semi-final win over Cork. John Kiely’s charges are seeking their first championship since 1973, and with the likes of Shane Dowling and Pat Ryan among the available substitutes, the Shannonsiders will be hopeful of claiming the Liam MacCarthy.
