The trailer has dropped for the RTÉ documentary Blues Sisters which follows the Dublin ladies football team as they bid for, and eventually achieve, All-Ireland success.
The fly-on-the-wall documentary is on Monday night – and by the looks of the preview – it is not one to be missed.
Having lost three finals in a row, 2017 was a historic year for the Dublin ladies as they finally reached the promised land and achieved All-Ireland glory in Croke Park.
The 4-11 to 0-11 trouncing of Mayo wasn’t just about one glorious day at GAA HQ, it was the culmination of a lifetime of sacrifice hard work and dedication.
Blues Sisters is going to tell the tale of how the Dublin team took that last step, that final push from being pretenders to All-Ireland champions.
Wins over Waterford and Kerry meant that Dublin came into the final in form. But, with Mayo beating the mighty Cork, the Dubs were in for a test – a test they passed with flying colours.
