Watch: Corofin Goal Is Direct Football At Its Brilliant Best

Corofin are taking on St Brigid’s in the Connacht SFC semi-final is a clash of two of the biggest names in club football in the province, if not the country.

The Galway men took a two-point lead into the break after an even first period, thanks to a superb goal involving lovely, direct football.

First, they had the kick out which was won cleanly for a mark. After a long kick pass, the ball found its way to Michéal Lundy, who in turn gave a sublime ball into the full forward line to Ian Burke for a goal that will have the purists out of their seats.

Not a bad finish but it was all about the ball in from Lundy – a pass that got everyone talking on social media:

After a good start to the second half, Corofin have pushed out to a four-point lead but the Roscommon champions have kept fighting and are in this game as it heads to its final quarter.
