Dublin hurlers Shane Durkin and Gary Maguire have both decided to call time on their intercounty careers.
Both men play their club football for Ballyboden St. Endas and in recent years have enjoyed some memorable moments as members of the Dublin panel.
Maguire is a former All-Star and played an integral role in the Dublin sides that enjoyed league and provincial successes in 2011 and 2013 but has struggled to establish himself under the current regime.
Durkin, like Maguire, played a more prominent role in past years before being on the fringes of the first team action under current boss Pat Gilroy.
The official Twitter account of Dublin hurling issued a tweet today wishing the two luck for their future.
Dublin Senior Hurlers Shane Durkin & Gary Maguire have announced their retirement from intercounty hurling.
On behalf of everyone in Dublin GAA, we thank the @Bodengaa pair for their brilliant service in the Dublin jersey & wish them all the best for the future 👏 pic.twitter.com/hZAtGSJqHt
