According to John Cross of The Mirror, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger finally has his eye on a retirement date.
According to the British tabloid, Wenger’s 19 year spell with Arsenal is set to end in 2017 leaving the French manager with just over another season and a half with the club.
Writer John Cross boldly claims that Wenger communicated his career plans at the Arsenal AGM yesterday, however, rather interestingly, Cross bases his story on quotes which never once mention a retirement date.
The Mirror’s story is instead based on the following:
I am resolute to commit absolutely until the last day of my contract to bring back big success to this club, and leave as well one day in a position where it can do even better when I leave.
That is for me very important that I leave the club in the shape that the guy who comes after me can do better.
So, in saying that he is committed until the last day of his contract, Cross believes that Wenger is certain to pack it in at the end of his current deal which expires in June 2017. Nevermind the fact that the French manager has extended his contract on countless occasions up to this point.
Arsenal currently sit second in the Premier League table and take on Watford this Saturday evening.
when Wenger leaves. That will be a sad day for all Arsenal fans, even the ones who wanted him out, he spent 19 years of his life with Arsenal

You know when Wenger leaves?
It'll be like getting out of an unfulfilling sexless loveless marriage that went on 10yrs too long.

Wenger to quit in 19months!
Sad and exciting.
Wonder if he'll go all out Fergie Style next season?
