Tottenham Hotspur were given the mother of all scares on Saturday afternoon in their FA Cup fourth round clash.
League Two Wycombe Wanderers came to White Hart Lane on Saturday for what most would have assumed would be a comfortable win for a rotated Tottenham side. It turned out to be anything but.
Gareth Ainsworth’s side raced into a two-nil lead with Paul Hayes firing past Michel Vorm, first with an impressive volley and then from the penalty spot.
They went in at the break on top and managed to hold the home side for a while after the break but Son Heung-min managed to get one back on the hour mark.
Vincent Janssen found the equaliser, also from 12 yards out, soon after.
Against the run of play, the visitors struck what seemed like a winner late on.
Dele Alli’s long-range strike levelled it up again and Son found the net again to send the Premier League side through.
