Having returned to his boyhood club last week, it hasn’t taken Wayne Rooney very long to remind the world what he’s capable.
Playing in the first leg of Everton’s preseason tour in Tanzania, Wayne Rooney just scored an absolute screamer against Gor Mahia.
Picking up the ball more than 35 yards from goal, the former Manchester United man took a touch, turned and had a quick look up before rifling the ball into the top left corner from an incredible distance.

Although many had suggested that the 31-year-old was finished after a very poor season with Manchester United, others have stated that the English legend still has a lot to offer and, based on the above, it’s hard to argue with that point of view.
Indeed, this is the first summer in a long time that Rooney has taken a substantial break from the game and perhaps that is exactly what he needed to bring back to life the Rooney of old.
