Manchester City will have been disappointed to drop two points against Crystal Palace on Sunday and end their winning streak but what will likely worry City more are injuries to two key players, Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus.
The Eagles were able to stop the Etihad club in their pursuit of 19 straight league wins in what was a physical game, but counting the cost of these casualties over the next few days will worry Pep Guardiola a whole lot more than anything else.
The first victim of this physical match-up was Jesus who had to come off for Sergio Aguero in the 23rd minute after what looked like an injury to his knee. Breaking down in tears as he exited the game, spectators will fear for the worst given his state of distress.
Following the match Pep Guardiola was able to provide an early, rough estimate of when City can expect to have the Brazilian back while he also said that he wasn’t sure when De Bruyne would return after he was stretchered off following a reckless and late Jason Puncheon tackle.
"It could be a month or two for Jesus." ?
"I'm not sure about Kevin." ?
