Paul Pogba’s discipline has been questioned once again after Manchester United were dumped out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
Having served a three-match suspension for a reckless challenge during Manchester United’s 3-1 win at the Emirates earlier this month, Paul Pogba made his return to Mourinho’s starting lineup in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening.
Pogba was frustrated throughout the game with the French international receiving a yellow card (and lucky to avoid a red) for a confrontation with Mike Dean in the 89th minute.
However, another moment in the game is garnering some attention online with countless fans feeling that the former Juve man should have his second consecutive straight red card for a studs up challenge in the 25th minute.
Although there was no significant impact made in the challenge, the height and angle at which Pogba attempts to win the ball is certainly reckless and endangers the safety of his opponent.
As such, many believe that Pogba was indeed lucky not to receive his marching orders for the second time this season.
