Manchester United claimed a routine victory over Norweigan side Valerenga in the penultimate game of their pre-season tour on Sunday evening.
The Reds will finish their preparations for the new season in Dublin on Wednesday as they face Italian side Sampdoria. The squad will then jet off to Skopje where they’ll meet Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup.
Jose Mourinho named a strong side for tonight’s game with Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata all included in the starting eleven.
The Europa League champions started well and could have taken the lead on a number of occasions in the opening minutes. Pogba went closest for the visitors when he hit the hosts after a quarter of an hour.
Marouane Fellaini broke the deadlock just before half-time when his close-range header deflected past the goalkeeper.

The game finished 3-0 and Jose Mourinho will surely be leaving Scandinavia a very happy man having not suffered any further injuries and has enjoyed another encouraging performance from his squad. The Portuguese will be hoping the trip to Dublin next week will be similarly successful.
