Manchester United are taking on Real Madrid in the fourth game of their pre-season tour of the United States in a dress rehearsal for the UEFA Super Cup.
Unlike their showdown in Skopje next month, there was really nothing at stake for the two sides and Jose Mourinho named a far from full strength team while Zinedine Zidane named and XI very similar to the one that won the Champions League last month.
One of those that did start the game for United was Anthony Martial and the Frenchman was instrumental in the opening goal as he weaved his way through the Los Blancos defence and set up Jesse Lingard for the easiest of tap-ins.
Check out the former Golden Boy’s magical moment below.
Lingard’s goal gave the Reds a 1-0 lead at the break. Mourinho will likely introduce more of his star names in the second half with the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba set to play a lesser role than they did in the last game. The mightily expensive pair played a huge part in their side’s 2-0 win over Manchester City last Thursday. The Frenchman played a deft ball over the ball for his new teammate to run onto and Lukau duly rounded the keeper and fired home from a tight angle. It was the Belgian’s second goal in as many games.
