24 shots. 17 on target. Six goals. Three points. Liverpool are top of the Premier League.

Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool ran riot today, surging to the top of the Premier League after Manchester City and Arsenal failed to win against Middlesbrough and Tottenham, and oh, did they do it in some style.

Much has been made of Klopp’s transformation of Liverpool’s playing style, with many commenting that he has instilled an irrevocable drive into the entirety of his squad.

This was present for all to see at Anfield, and the German’s masterful techniques have produced the Premier League’s most exciting quartet in some time.

Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho have been some of the English top flights best players this season, and today was no different.

Lallana, arguably the league’s most improved player under the tutelage of Klopp, enjoyed another sensational performance, bagging two assists for his team-mates in a dominant display against the Hornets.

Mane also made it six goals for the season, with one supreme header and another ice-cool finish leaving a trail of defenders unable to cope with his pace and authority in his wake.

Coutinho and Firmino also collected a goal and assist each, as Walter Mazzarri’s side were put to the sword emphatically.

Danyl Janmaat capitalised on some lackadaisical defending from Klopp’s men to net a consolation for Watford, but Georginio Wijnaldum wrapped up an emphatic win in injury time.

Thanks to @LiverpoolGifs on Twitter, we are able to bring you all the highlights from today’s game.

After a well-worked corner, Mane scored his fifth of the season with this superb header.

Coutinho doubled Liverpool’s lead soon after with a sweet finish.

It was three for Liverpool at the break, as Adam Lallana’s exquisite cross was met by the head of Emre Can.

There was some more Brazilian flair for fans of the Reds to enjoy as Firmino tapped home for 4-0.

Firmino then turned provider as Mane added his second. The movement from the £30m summer signing here is incredible.

Liverpool fans will only have one slight negative to take from today, as despite an assured performance Loris Karius was unable to keep a clean sheet.

However, Wijnaldum’s late goal saw Liverpool finish the game with a resounding 6-1 win. That’s how it’s done!

We think we can sense every Liverpool fan grinning like a Chesire cat this evening.
