Watch: Jaw-dropping Footage Appears To Show Falcao Negotiating Draw With Peru Players

There was an absolutely bizarre ending to the World Cup qualifying clash between Colombia and Peru last night.

As the clock ticked down towards the final whistle, the scores were level at 1-1.

Given results in other fixtures in their qualifying group for Russia 2018, a draw would prove to be enough to see Colombia qualify directly for next summer’s competition and for Peru to secure a play-off spot against New Zealand to qualify for the World Cup at the expense of Chile.

In amazing footage caught on camera, Colombia captain and Monaco striker Radamel Falcao can be seen having intense discussions with several Peruvian players with many now suggesting that the 31-year-old was explaining that a draw would qualify both sides.

What happened next only adds fuel to the aforementioned allegations as the Peru defence proceeded to play the ball around their back line for the entire final minute of the match unchallenged by any Columbian attacker.

Take a look below and judge for yourself:

Italian football journalist Tancredi Palmeri has quoted a member of the Peru squad as follows:

While this extraordinary footage at this time has not provided clear-cut evidence of any wrongdoing, it may be something FIFA will look further into in the coming days. Whatever the case may be, question marks over Falcao’s behaviour and the shady final minute of the game have been raised.
