Watch: Wes Hoolahan Produces Wonderful Assist To Rescue Point For Norwich

Wes Hoolahan came off the bench late on in Norwich’s first game of the new season and came up with a piece of sheer genius to help grab a point for The Canaries.

Having replaced Harrison Reed in the eightieth minute, the Irishman made an immediate impact with his patented vision and creativity posing a whole new threat to Fulham.

With just minutes left on the clock, Hoolahan clipped a delightful ball over the top for fellow substitute Nelson Oliveira. The Portuguese striker managed to get the better of goalkeeper David Button to bring the sides level.

Check out the Dubliner’s brilliance below.

Magical stuff.

Hoolahan will be key to the Republic of Ireland’s hopes of finishing off their World Cup qualifying campaign well and securing passage to Russia. The Bios in Green face Georgia and Serbia next month before games against Wales and Moldova in October.

Four wins will see Martin O’Neill’s side take a spot in the group stages of next summer’s tournament without needing to get through a playoff.

Norwich take on Swindon in the EFL Cup on Tuesday and will play relegated Sunderland next Saturday.
