Watch: Gerrard, Jenas & Hartson Each Select The Best Striker They Ever Played With

Steven Gerrard, Jermaine Jenas and John Hartson were all on punditry duty for BT Sport at Turf Moor on Saturday night.

Spurs beat Burnley 3-0 thanks to a Harry Kane hat-trick which puts him one goal behind Lionel Messi in 2017, who leads the chart for overall top scorer across Europe’s top-five leagues this calendar year. Kane has a home fixture against Southampton on Tuesday to come whereas the five-time Ballon d’Or winning Argentinian has played his final game of 2017.

Saturday night’s treble also saw the England striker equal Alan Shearer’s record of most Premier League goals in a calendar year with 36. Again, Kane has Tuesday’s meeting with The Saints at Wembley as an opportunity to surpass that incredible feat.

There is simply no doubting that the back-to-back Premier League golden boot winner is a world class goalscorer.

Gerrard, Jenas and Hartson were then asked in the post-match discussion show to cast their minds back to their playing days and remember the great strikers they played alongside.

Presenter Jake Humphries probed them on the very best they each played alongside, to which they each responded with amazing shortlists before choosing their top dog. There can be no arguing with any of the selections made by the three ex-pros turned pundits.
