In the modern era, friendlies very rarely deliver the same level of football that one sees in competitive clashes. However, that certainly wasn’t the case as England took on Didier Deschamp’s France in Paris on Tuesday evening.
The game featured too many magical moments to go into any sort of detail. However, to sum it all up, there were five goals, a red card and some wonderful exhibitions of individual skill with Manchester United’s Paul Pogba standing out on multiple occasions.
