Dani Alves’ move from Barcelona to Turin last year looks to be paying off as he and his Juventus teammates are on the brink of claiming the club’s third European Cup/Champions League title.
With Juve 2-0 up from the first leg it was always going to be an uphill struggle for Monaco, but Alves’ beautiful strike looks to have turned the Italian side’s lead into an unassailable one now.
Having already played a part in the first three goals in this semi-final so far, it was perhaps only right that the 34-year-old would be the one to net what is most likely the winning strike.
Juve, should they see this out, will face either Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid in the final in Cardiff next month.
Real already have one foot in the final too with a 3-0 first leg victory over their close neighbours so it’s looking like two historical European giants will be going toe-to-toe on June 3.
