Well, that got awkward…
Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew felt hard done by in today’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp’s side secured the three points right at the death thanks to a highly controversial penalty awarded to substitute Christian Benteke, who converted the resulting penalty himself.
Pardew was none too pleased with the decision, and in the post-match interview with Sky Sports reporter Geoff Shreeves he seemed to imply that Liverpool only got the decision because of their status within English football.
Needless to say, it soon got tense…

Pardew called Shreeves out as trying to antagonise him as the the interview took a tremendously hostile turn at about the halfway mark.
Palce are yet to win a game in 2016 – without a win in twelve in fact – and although they remain nine points clear of the relegation places, results are going to have to improve and quickly.
So was it a penalty? Judge for yourself below – but the footage suggests that Pardew may have had every reason to be upset at the final whistle.
