Officially named the greatest player in the world in 2008, winning the Ballon D’Or, United fans were hopeful that they could hold onto one of the most gifted talents to ever pull on a Manchester United shirt. However, Ronaldo’s frequent flirtations with Real Madrid had many believing that a switch to La Liga was inevitable and in 2009, that very move came to fruition.
Sitting down with Rio Ferdinand, Ronaldo discussed the inner drive that saw him make the move to the Santiago Bernabeu while also firing a hilarious pop at the former England international for his apparent transition into the world of boxing.
