Diego Costa’s spiralling descent out-of-favour at Chelsea has quickly become the transfer saga of the window with Antonio Conte reportedly feuding with the controversial striker.
Reports surfaced last Friday that the pair had fallen out with a heated row culminating in the Italian shouting:
“Go to China!”
The Spaniard’s situation remains unclear as he continues to train alone at their Cobham base due to a supposed back injury. The owner of Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian has admitted he had hoped to sign Costa before a rule limiting the number of foreign players allowed was announced by the Chinese Super League yesterday.
Today, fans across social media have been sharing this video of Conte explaining his policy when it comes to out-of-line members of his playing staff to Thierry Henry in an interview back in September.
It’s a fascinating watch.
