Harry Kane is right up there with the top strikers in the world on current form and he has been attracting high praise from some of the greatest goalscorers to ever play the game for his exploits.
Tottenham trounced Liverpool 4-1 on Sunday at Wembley with Kane helping himself to a brace of goals and a super assist. Numbers don’t lie and the Englishman’s stats so far this year have been unrivalled by any other Premier League player. With figures like these below, it is no wonder Kane recently made the shortlist of nominations for the Ballon d’Or.
Harry Kane's scoring record for Tottenham and England in 2017:

The Spurs attacker has won the Premier League Golden Boot for the past two years running and currently lies on top of the pile again this term, this having not found the net at all in August, essentially giving everyone else a head-start.
It is important to note that Kane is still just 24-years-old. One man who knows all about how legendary a goal scorer the Tottenham number 10 could turn out to be by the time all is said and done is the Premier League’s all-time top scorer, Alan Shearer. The Newcastle United hero is fully aware that his 260 goals may not be enough to fend off Kane should this deadly pattern of finding the net continue.

While we have all been left marvelling at the brilliance of the 24-year-old’s displays of recent weeks for Spurs domestically and in the Champions League, it is great to see a homegrown talent receive plaudits from such high places in the world of football.
Check out his encounter with Argentina legend and world renowned all-time great Diego Maradona in the Spurs dressing room after Sunday’s victory. Tottenham legend and fellow Argentinian Ozzie Ardiles acted as a translator as Maradona praised Mauricio Pochettino, Hugo Lloris and Kane, before giving the lethal striker one piece of advice upon their goodbyes.
