Watch: Alex Ferguson Gives Hilarious Explanation For Why Paul Pogba Left Manchester United

Sir Alex Ferguson came to speak with the Sale Rugby Sharks recently and a hilarious one liner from that visit has now gone viral.

Back in 2012, there was huge controversy at Old Trafford as the club’s most talented youth player, Paul Pogba, elected to leave the club and join Juventus despite the fact that Manchester United had offered the player a contract extension.

Given the fact that the Red Devils had to fork out close to a hundred million less than five years later to secure the player’s return, the fact that Pogba was allowed to leave in the first place is often named as Sir Alex Ferguson’s biggest error.

However, for Fergie, the French midfielder’s departure was far from his fault and was in fact, all down to the mischievous influence of Pogba’s agent, Mina Raiola.

Asked about the circumstances that saw the French international leave the club back in 2012 by Sale prop Brian Mujati, Fergie’s response was both sharp and hilarious.

“Paul Pogba? He had a bad agent. A s*** bag.”
