Watch: Wales Players Wildly Celebrate England’s Euro 2016 Elimination

England suffered one of the worst defeats in their history last night was they lost 2-1 to Iceland in Nice, to be eliminated from Euro 2016 in the first knockout round.

Despite taking the lead in the first few minutes thanks to a Wayne Rooney penalty, Roy Hodgson’s side lost their composure in a big way – and when defender Ragnar Sigurdsson equalised almost immediately after, one sensed that this was not going to be a pleasant evening for the Three Lions.

That being said, the result was met with almost universal acclaim outside of England.

Wales, who somehow managed to lose to this side not so long ago, could not hide their joy as their rivals suffered the shock defeat. Footage emerged of their players celebrating the result, as they can now look forward to being the only British representative in the quarter finals.

Their’s was a reaction of sheer joy, which may be a tad awkward next month when these players meet their English counterparts at their clubs in pre-season training next month.

Wales face Belgium in Lille on Friday looking to make the semi-finals in their first appearance in this tournament.

England, meanwhile, return home – a squad humiliated, and a manager who has paid for it with his job.
